Get Bybit Testnet API Keys

Before opening the bot, grab your testnet API credentials. Testnet uses fake USDT so you can practice safely.

A. Sign up for testnet

Visit testnet.bybit.com and create a free account. It's separate from your real Bybit account.

B. Get free USDT

After login, go to Assets → Request Test Coin. You can request up to 10,000 USDT free for practice.

C. Create API key

Go to Account → API Management → Create New Key → System-generated.

Set permissions:

Leave IP restriction empty for now (you can add it later for extra security).

Copy your API Key and API Secret — you'll need them in step 3.

🔒 Your secret is safe. It's encrypted with AES-256-GCM using your password. Without your password, the server cannot use it to trade.

FAQ

Common questions

Bot says "Wrong password"

Run /delete to remove credentials, then /setup again with a new password you'll remember.

No trades happening

Markets may be ranging — bot only trades clean setups. Try lowering signal strength to WEAK via /config. Check /signals to see what's currently flagged.

Trade opened but I want to stop it

Open positions stay until SL/TP hits or you manually close them on Bybit. /stopbot only prevents new trades — it doesn't close existing ones.

Want to switch to live trading?

Currently testnet only. The recommendation is to test for 30 days minimum before considering live. When ready, run /delete and /setup with mainnet API keys (live trading mode will be enabled in a future update).
